Everybody has its own means to return to childhood in their memory. For some of us it is the smell of ginger cakes which were cooked in your family every Sunday, the others connect their best memories with a box of secrets which contains the greatest treasures of childhood for them. As for me, I return to my early years every time I hear one of the Disney songs as the tradition to watch Disney cartoons was one of the few unchangeable things when I was a kid.
One of my favorite Disney songs is “Under the Sea” from “The Little Mermaid” series. It is the Oscar-winning composition which was released in 1989 and performed by the crab Sebastian in the cartoon. What I like about this song is that it is not devoted to love and all this sentimental stuff, but to joy of life and the advantages of living where you belong.
It seems that new kinds of art emerges every day and the destiny of these new projects can be different – some of them will be left in oblivion and some are bound to become real success. It is an original idea which can attract the attention of the audience, and the foodscapes of Carl Warner appeared to be one of such attractive concepts.
Carl Warner is an Australian illustrator and photographer who is famous as a creator of a new genre of art – foodscapes which mean landscapes made of food. His pictures show bread mountains, broccoli trees, cabbage leave waves and potato stones.
Death of one of the greatest composers of all time – Mozart – still remains a mystery. There are many versions of what happened and each of them seems more or less believable. I am afraid there is no way for us to find out what actually happened, but maybe that’s the beauty of it – it is a mystery, each of us may believe what he / she wants.

Not everyone knows who Clint Mansell is but those who know definitely heard his ‘Requiem for a Dream’ trek. This without a doubt is the most famous of his works.

One of the most prolific and remarkable video artist is definitely Pipilotti Rist. I idolize her boldness and impudence she exposes every time during her work.
Pipilotti Rist was born in prosperous Switzerland. Aged twenty Pipilotti entered the Institute of Applied Arts in Vienna where she studied illustration and photography. When she was 35-years-old she participated in the Venice Biennial representing Switzerland. Since then she became pretty popular. Even though some of her works seem to be pretty strange one should accept it with humor and irony. Don’t be serious to judge her works as some do when see her installations and videos.
Have you ever thought about the idea of exploiting the time machine? Would you like to use it once? Then what time would you choose and what country? Do you feel nostalgic for the period of time of your parents’ youth or for the past in general? Sometimes it happens to me. From time to time I look through old photos of my parents and grandparents and feel really nostalgic for and captivated by the time.
If I had a chance to travel through time I would definitely go to the 1960s. How come? Well, I don’t know actually but somehow I’m captivated by the events, people, writers and artists of that period of time. As for me then that time seems to be the most interesting, flamboyant and captivating era of the 20th century thus referring to the cultural and social-political events that began in 1963 and ended in 1974. It was great time indeed. People wanted freedom and independence and they did everything to get it. Some of the events appeared to be disasters but at the same time their cultural influence was enormous and invaluable. What I mean? For example, Cultural Revolution in China not only changed the country, its traditions and customs when people were made to refuse from their past. It influenced the whole world. Thus an attempt to remove “liberal bourgeois” elements who wanted to restore capitalism inspired French students to struggle and try to revolutionize society.
